Red cherry plum

In the orchard late this afternoon - it's so lovely to be there, and so much is growing and sprouting. We are finally home - have been home for a whole hectic, stressful month - after J's seven interminable months, 204 days, in hospital, my seven months of twelve hour hospital days, and P's twice daily return journeys to spend time there and transport me while trying to hold things together at home. Life with twenty four hour nursing care to manage significant long term medical needs is very different to our life at home before, but it's home, with J's cats and our beautiful, open view, and we are glad and grateful to be here, with the opportunity to try to come to terms with the many unwelcome changes and make it the best life we can, for J and for us all.
