Snowless, spring floods, old & new ice

Walking straight down our hill brings us to this lake.
The spring thaw means the water is creeping up across the fields, towards the road. The chilly temperatures, especially at night, means there's a skim of new ice over the open water around the edges. The old ice remains on most of the lake, but most of the snow has gone down here.
Blue sky appears occasionally and the wind had dropped appreciably but it's still chilly.
The old grey grass has emerged from under the snow but it is still not greening up; that will have to wait for the warmth to return.
