Magnolia moon
Today I made a silver wedding anniversary card for the daughter of one of our oldest friends. Smithers and I were introduced to them one Sunday evening in August 1972, the very first time we attended All Saints’ Church, and we have been friends ever since. I am Godmother to their daughter, and am finding it hard to believe that the little baby I held at her christening will soon have been married herself for 25 years.
I grabbed a shot of this glorious magnolia tree as I left our friends’ house, having delivered their card. It’s the centrepiece of their front garden and is looking at its absolute best at the moment.
