A glorious day for a protest
It was a fabulous day. The sun was shining and not much wind even though it was chilly. We had estimates of 700 to 1000 people lining Grand Avenue. It was such a great turn out. There were a few cars that gunned their engines and a few people flipped us off but so many more people were honking and waving. It was so fun to be with a huge group of great people. Mom and Catherine came. They are in my collage. Also Karlee Provenza our state congressional representative gave an inspiring speech but her bullhorn wasn't working well. She is also in my collage.
Someone took a picture with me and several friends, which is in the extra. Mom had a great time and so did I. The most fun was when we left and I told Mom that we were going to drive down Grand and honk. It felt like we were royalty in a parade. Everyone was cheering and waving at us. And we were smiling our heads off and waving right back.
Then a couple friends came over in the afternoon for wine and cheese and we had a great time with tears and laughter over the plight of things.
