Topp Twins

The last Colour of Festival event was Katherine Ryan ( a very well known interviewer on our National Radio) interviewing the Topp Twins.
Dame Lynda and Dame Jool are icons in NZ. They have been entertaining us for years since they started busking on the streets of Auckland. 

They are political, funny - a humour that makes you laugh with them , and not at someone else’s expense. It may be too “Kiwi” to be be understood by everyone? They have done a lot for the Gay Community and were made “Dames” for their contribution to entertainment and activism.

Not only did they sign their book for us- they came out after us and gave us one of their T Shirts! That was a surprise.

It was a funny show, sad also as Jools not well with her cancer. She has an amazing attitude to living with it.
