Bike

In the three years since my bike was stolen, I've started to miss long Turf rides, in particular along the old railway, following the Esk to the sea at Musselburgh. So, today, that's what I did, using the cheap bike that daughter K bought when her decent one was immediately stolen when daughter L took it to London. I knew it was too small for me, and was warned by K that one of the wheels was slightly buckled, but not that the handlebars work loose!

In the end, I had fun, particularly in Dalkeith Country Park on my way back, but was glad that I turned back when I did, as the last hour was hard work. Although I'm walking fit, there are muscles used when cycling that I've not exercised for a long time, and then there's the effect of sitting on a saddle for hours for the first time in years!

Back home, I tried to listen to the Manchester derby, but fell asleep 10 minutes before the end - which says something about the match...
