Bandstanding

It’s been lovely to have a whole week at “home”…..& the next 3 days too.

Son K came to visit today with Olivia & Isabella, they are getting so tall now, or maybe it’s Grandma that’s beginning to shrink ;-) The girls met C for the first time …… Isabella wanted to know if he is Grandma’s boyfriend! I told her yes I suppose he is, although he’s an old man not a boy lol

We all went into Ramsbottom for a walk around, called into the recently discovered Cocao Tree, coffee shop & chocolatier. The girls loved their hot chocolate & they chose their own Easter treats, Hen with mini eggs for O & a decorated egg for I.

We explored Nuthall Park for the first time too……. a nice play area followed by a walk along the river, with Peel Tower as our backdrop, what’s not to like :-)

Back home for a late dinner, I made a quick chicken & bacon pasta….. which I really liked, whereas her older sister wanted nuggets & fries……. followed by Magnum minis for dessert.

K & the girls hit the road just before the footy kicked off. We watched a rather mundane 0-0 Manchester derby :-/

C has just left, he’s been here since Thurs evening, it feels a bit empty & quiet now, so need to keep myself busy for a couple of hours :-)

I won’t see him for the next 10 days, probably the longest spell apart, as I’m going down to see my sis in law & family in Southampton for 5 days, later this week.

As he left he said ‘I’ll see you in my dreams” ….. how lovely is that, proves you’re never too old :-D
