Scavenger

Again such lovely weather for early in the year.

I had a nice morning with the children at Sunday School. We told the story of Daniel and made lions from lolly sticks and felt. It just occurs to me that I should be photographing the crafts the children do on these days!

When I got home I was tired and wasted time sleeping on the couch. We had to go into town to pay the lady who cleaned the lodge for me yesterday but after that it was such a lovely day we sat out eating ice lollies (Magnum Billionaires).

Birdsong was all around us and the pair of blackbirds were busy. Just how much dried vegetation could the female cram into her beak without dropping it all? I got a shock the next time she came and flew onto the patio beside me. We have a shallow tray of water for putting plants in to soak. She was in there, only 4' away from me, getting lots of soggy stuff and wetting her breast feathers in the process!

Tea was easy to prepare, I'd bought a Sainsbury's pack of two slow-roasted Lamb Henrys with minted gravy. Only needed warming up while I prepared the veg. Very tasty!
