A Horse With No Name
Back on our travels today. When we bought tickets for the Beamish Museum last April, we were told we could return unlimited times in the next twelve months. With only three weeks of validity left now, we thought we’d better do something about it!
There were a couple of areas we didn’t see last time so made those a priority today. Unfortunately, the drift mine tour was not possible due to flooding. However the 1950s town (in the background of the photo) now has a lot more to see and we also managed to get to the 1950s farm, where we encountered this fine fellow.
We’re exploring elsewhere tomorrow so have a hotel in Darlington for the night. Rather than just sit in the room watching telly, we’ve discovered there is a big multiplex cinema just up the road (with very reasonable seat prices) so we are going out to watch the latest Bridget Jones movie, which has so far passed us by.
Should even be time to get something for tea first…
