Tiny green shoots

These ‘sticks’ growing near the inner harbour at Charlestown are revealing tiny green shoots. Two days ago when I was last there , no shoots were visible.

Tourists have descended now, as suddenly as trees are producing new leaves. I find the best way I can see, hear and smell the sea without paying to park is to go to Charlestown, where I can park on the roadside.. All the ‘free’ winter car parks are now charging. It’s not just having to pay that I mind, it’s the ‘clock watching’ that takes away the freedom of taking your time when out.,
