The winners

We were supposed to attend the dragon boat racing today, but I didn’t feel up to the outing. S was leading the team that won, so great celebrations, as they were the reigning champions. 

On the way home from the afternoon walk we saw my tabby cat friend narrowly escaped being run over by his owner. He came running towards me across the back of their reversing car. We spoke to the owners who we had never met before and realised that the young man had been in the boat race team that came third. He couldn’t believe that we were S’s in law’s or that I’m great pals with their cat.

We joined R & S for dinner at their house and watched the wedding video’s that they have gathered. A lovely evening.
