Butterflies and Beaches
The sun is still shining so it was out for coffee at Smeaton's Nursery and Tearoom, sitting in the conservatory watching a wren pick its way round the shrubs. This makes a change from sitting outside watching great tits, chaffinches, robins and pheasants pick their way through ones crumbs. I watched a peacock butterfly feeding on the nursery plants and managed several shots (main photo)
Then to Torness visitor carpark and walk on the acres of sand, potter among the rocks, pick over the strand line for shells, watch the waves on a blue sea, photo a sandhopper hopping around our feet (extras 1 and 2).
Despite the sunshine it was cool but less windy than yesterday.
