Underneath the Gunnera..

..sat a Tanni dog. Just got back from delivering the vegetables we've spent most of the day harvesting..

The Gunnera was given to us by C from the end of the road, hers was getting quite large, and she told us to cut a clump off. So along with my spade, and after cutting around the outside of the side shoot I wanted, got the spade underneath to lever it out. Snap. The handle broke.

Take two. Got another spade, and finished the job. That was two or three years ago, and now it's got eight or ten leaves, the biggest almost six feet tall. An impressive plant..

Tanni was tired, and as I let her out of the car, she went and sat under the leaves..

A better day than yesterday, with sun most of the time, but just clouded over a bit..
