Back to work for one day

We worked today but there is snow in the forecast for tomorrow into Wednesday, depending on which forecaster you listen to. The forecast is for 7 - 12 cm, but as a couple of them explain, at this time of year, there will not be that much on the ground. Roads and sidewalks will be wet and there will be a light covering on the grass. It will likely be Thursday when we can work again.
I interviewed one potential worker this afternoon and have several more telephone interviews scheduled for tomorrow. I will likely hire the one I interviewed this afternoon as the hours work for him and he has some experience.
Marilyn called me tonight, the first time in over a month, and she didn't ask me to do anything for her, and she didn't complain about me playing sudoku when she called. I had already started the game when my phone rang. She wanted to tell me about her afternoon. There was a power outage here this afternoon caused by a car accident. Stephanie saw it on FB when we were traveling between properties. It came back on just after I got home, I hadn't even gotten in the house yet. The landlord was outside and I stopped to talk to her. We were discussing a new retaining wall along the driveway. While we were talking, she noticed the motion sensor light come on. The car accident happened across the street from Marilyn's. She heard the bang and looked out, so she called 911 emergency. Apparently the car caught fire too, but the driver got out in time.
The cats are not going to be happy tomorrow, even though I will be home. The carpenter is going to start the inside work, getting ready to replace the kitchen window. They will not like the noise.
