More cycling

Since the weather pattern seems to be we get some sunshine, or at least bright overcast skies in the morning, then it gets more cloudy in the afternoon, we went to the beach this morning., and sat and read and people watched. The wind continues, churning the sea up, so no swimming for me. One disappointment here, as opposed to our favourite beaches in Florida, is that I see less bird life here, and less shells. It’s not that the beaches are more crowded here at this time of year, so I’m wondering if it’s the wind and higher surf keeping them away.
In the afternoon we went cycling in the state park again, in the eastern section today. Unfortunately one lady’s afternoon didn’t go quite according to plan, as a police vehicle joined the trail at one point and asked us if we’d seen an injured cyclist, to which we replied no, so he set off in the other direction, shortly followed by a golf cart with a trailer carrying a stretcher. After a short while they returned, with the lady sitting in the back of the golf cart, so at least she didn’t seem badly hurt.
