Doon hame

People from Dumfries are knowns as "doonhamers" which is also the nickname attached to the town's football team - Queen of the South.  

In my second term as a South of Scotland MSP (2007-2011) I had an office in the town and stood there in the 2007 election.   I know it quite well, therefore, and am particularly fond of the Crichton Campus which I have blipped several times before.

I was there today as Chair of the Scottish Land Commission  meeting a group of South of Scotland based  Rural Asset Managers (aka Land Agents) as Savills has an office on the Crichton site very close to the magnificent  Crichton Memorial Church , which is my blip today. 

Taken in perfect sunshine too - a great day for such a visit.
