Sunshade

Thankfully I felt much better this morning and was well enough to go along to my volunteering session at Tuppenny Barn.

The sun was shining and as we worked in the potting shed planting on vegetable seedlings I was able to chat and get to better know some of the volunteers. They are such an interesting and varied group of people and although we’re busy doing things the atmosphere was relaxing. Mid-way through the morning we had a tea break. Today’s cake was turmeric and ginger flapjack which was delicious.

Also taking place at the centre today was a horticultural therapy session and activities for school children on their Easter holiday. One group of children had been busy in the kitchen and appeared at lunchtime with tasty looking pizza which they ate outside in the garden.

Andy was out playing golf today so Merlin was pleased when I returned home and he could go out into the garden and enjoy the sunshine too.

This is one of the willow structures in the garden. I imagine it’s a peaceful place to sit and that it provides some useful shade in the summer.
