The fruits of my labour

Spent a good couple of hours in the garden this afternoon; the fresh air did me good not sure about the ouchiness of gooseberry picking
I've learned after 5 years of ouchiness now that the easiest way to harvest the gooseberries is to prune the bush then pick them. Not a bad crop either this year. (They are red gooseberries in case you were wondering)
Since I was on a roll with the loppers, I decided to prune the blackcurrant bush too and found another good pound of fruit that I missed the other week!

My next mission....find a recipe for a blackcurrant and gooseberry something or other!
