Dry Weather

I was bought up to believe that pinecones could predict the weather: If they were open it was dry, if they were tightly closed it was wet. There is some scientific backing to this!

I found this little group of objects, including a pinecone, in Velmead Woods today arranged under what I believe is probably a "memorial tree", and thought it would fit today's Tiny Tuesday Challenge.  

I also spotted the "coos" which I failed to find on my last visit (extra) so it was a good walk.
