I think you'll find that's my Sophie
Another day another county! Charlie, Robin and I were up and out early (for us) for the long drive up north to visit our friends Hannah, Mark (Milky) and their little boy George. They've moved to an amazing village that's only 30 minutes out of Leeds and 20 out of York but feels like a million miles away from any city.
We were joined by our other friends Sean and Emma who'd just finished a holiday in the lake district and decided to get some air. We took a walk along the river, down a country lane, across a farmer's field, through some common ground near the castle that was owned by the guy who inspired Humpty Dumpty and finally to the village pub.
I always carry a picnic blanket in the basket of the pushchair and it came in handy for the boys when we stopped off for a shandy. They sat under a big willow tree playing for ages, and happily shared toys (despite today's blip title ;)
When the boys were in bed we had a great evening playing darts (Killer, I'm rubbish), drinking rose wine that tasted like pop, eating pizza and generally just catching up. Robin gets ridiculously competitive with his best friend, Sean, but it's now just amusing to watch!
