Rydyn ni wedi bod yn siarad am 'Coedwig Caerdydd' am flynyddoedd ac rydw i'n hapus nawr i weld rhywbeth yn digwydd.

O dro i dro mae'r cyngor yn plannu coed yn lleoedd amrywiol o gwmpas y ddinas. Faswn i ddim yn eu galw 'coedwig' eto. Delw coedwig yn fy meddwl, yw rhywle gyda choed ym mhob cyfeiriad. I fi, os dych chi'n gallu gweld rhywbeth y tu allan, dydy hi ddim coedwig.

Ond rydw i dal yn groesawi bob coeden ac yn gobeithio yn y dyfodol byddan nhw greu sgrin anhreiddiadwy.

We've been talking about 'The Forest of Cardiff' for years and I'm happy now to see something happen.

From time to time the council plants trees in various places around the city. I wouldn't call them 'a forest' yet. The image of a forest in my mind is somewhere with trees in every direction. For me, if you can see something outside, it's not a forest.

But I still welcome all trees and hope in the future they will create an impenetrable screen.
