Gwerthfawrogi fy ardal leol
Gwerthfawrogi fy ardal leol ~ Appreciating my local area
“The object of government in peace and in war is not the glory of rulers or of races, but the happiness of the common man.”
― William Beveridge

Ers i mi wedi bod ymddeol, rydw i wedi cael cyfle gwerthfawrogi fy ardal leol mwy a mwy. Heddiw oedd yn ddiwrnod braf a rhaid i mi ddweud mai'n hawdd gwerthfawrogi'r lle yn yr heulwen.
Es i i sychlanhawyr casglu siaced Nor'dzin. Roeddwn i'n sefyll o flaen yr eglwys am ryw reswm roeddwn i'n taro gan y meddwl:
'Dylai llywodraethau galluogi eu dinasyddion i fyw a chyflawni eu potensial. Popeth arall yw gwrthdyniad.'
Wn i ddim o ble y daeth y meddwl. Efallai iddo arnofio allan o'r eglwys.
Mae'n creu ffordd ddiddorol o fesur gwaith llywodraethau. Rydw i'n gwerthfawrogi'r meddwl, o ble bynnag y daeth.

Since I have been retired, I have had the opportunity to appreciate my local area more and more. Today was a nice day and I must say that it is easy to appreciate the place in the sunshine.
I went to the dry cleaners to collect Nor'dzin's jacket. I was standing in front of the church for some reason I was struck by the thought:
'Governments should enable their citizens to live and fulfill their potential. Everything else is a distraction.'
I don't know where the thought came from. Maybe it floated out of the church.
It creates an interesting way of measuring the work of governments. I appreciate the thought, wherever it came from.
