Perfectly timed - incoming train

New job required a visit to Glasgow to meet the team and collect new kit.

This was a great day and the weather was settled and warm enough to head out at lunchtime for a bit of a walk.

My one observation from this was that there isn't a single bench to sit on when you go down Sauchiehall Street. I understand it's getting a bit of a makeover, but still even with those newly developed spaces there wasn't anything to sit on.
I had to make do with the steps of the concert hall, in the shadow of Donald Dewar instead.
As I left for the day to head to Queen Street I managed to time it well enough to see the incoming train.
For the 2nd part of the journey, this was less well timed as I hit Waverley as just after the connection had left, with salt added to the wound that the timetable then dropped to an hourly service.
Cue a 40 minute wait on a platform for a train. I probably could have found somewhere to hole up for that time, but it was a pleasant enough evening to sit on the platform and doom-scroll for the 35 ish minutes till the train arrived.
