Hope?
Well, today a little light in the darkness....a bit of hope in the tariff fiasco..a "pause". Not that that is anything to celebrate, as so much damage has already been done and will be again after these 90 days are up. It just doesn't end.
And no amount of flowers on the coffee table will change anything, but at least for a few days they will cheer me up...a bright spot to see every time I look up from this computer screen!
In need of a distraction, I picked up a book at the library that a fellow blipper had posted..an older book, A Street Cat Named Bob, written, I think, in 2012. It was the perfect escape from all this insanity.
Somehow I had missed this media phenomenon - books, a website, videos and even a song? - about a street busker in London and a stray cat he adopted and cared for. I had no idea...but I was curious.
For the short length of time it took to read the book, my spirits were uplifted; it was so heart-warming. It made me smile and even shed a tear or two... good tears...
It is amazing what flowers, a good book and a cat can do to brighten your day.
