Another Day

Just drifting

JJ and I went up to Harrold Country Park for a walk this morning.  Boy, was it chilly and there was hardly a bird of any description to be seen.  We did see a few Mallards and then on the main lake there was a pair of Gadwall, which I don't think I've seen before and a few of these Tufted ducks with their rather attractive eyes.

Hot chocolate at the cafe before heading home.

This afternoon I've been over the back cutting back unwanted shrubs and brambles but nothing where it would disturb nesting birds.  JJ has shovelled more chippings around fruit trees.

The windows still have to be cleaned following yesterday's patio cleaning but I thought I'd be better off enjoying the sunshine and reading a book for an hour or so after my hard work over the back.

Our male blue tit is still taking nesting material into the sparrow box but if I was the female I think I'd rather have a detached property over a terrace.
