Today has been a normal day for Little Man and myself. I dropped Little Man off at nursery and decided to bike to Reeuwijk, a nearby town, to get a few things. The journey there took me through the Reeuwijkse Plassen, which are basically a series of shallow lakes that were originally created through peat extraction during the Middle Ages and later filled with water, forming a picturesque landscape of interconnected lakes, canals, and narrow strips of land. It's very picturesque, with beautiful homes built on these strips of land (they're also very expensive).
It took me longer than expected getting what I needed as one of the shops I visited didn't have the item I needed, so I had to bike to another shop, further away. I didn't mind because I was able to get some thinking time in. I took this photo on route home, just before I got to Driebruggen.
I collected Little Man from nursery, with a sandwich for him to eat on the way home. We then spent the afternoon relaxing. The weather is nice enough for the back door, to the garden, to be left open so that Little Man could play outside, in the garden, if he wanted or come inside to play in the lounge. I did keep an eye on him.
