Today was a nice relaxing day in the quaint town of Chesterfield with Michael. This place is full of quirky points of interest that are seemingly lost in time. This photo is of one of Chesterfield's most well known and admittedly noticeable quirks - the obscure tower. Built in - testing my facts here - 17th century with untreated timber, the tower's structure succumbed to rotting and formed this incredibly intriguing form on the spire. I call it 'Accidental Architecture' but I think it's actually a beautiful mistake to happen, the tower feels just like something straight out of Harry Potter and eerily learks above the town, looking constantly like it's about to collapse - though I'm sure it's perfectly stable now... touch wood.
