"Loveliest of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom along the bough",
This poem by A E Housman is one of my Mother's favourites, which she will quote at any time, but particularly in springtime.
I spied this cherry on our village green, as I returned from Pilates this afternoon. Later, I visited my Mum. She was tired, but still wanted to sit in the lounge watching other residents play carpet boules.I saw her into supper, and then returned home.
