All’s Well That Ends Well
I had a very odd hospital visit today. I had an appointment to see the Nurse Practitioner. I had my letter, but the location was a bit odd. I thought the hospital staff would know where it was, so on arrival I asked at the reception desk. They didn’t know where it was. They asked a colleague who didn’t know where it was either. I said I thought it might go and ask at the place I had been to before for rheumatology issues. They didn’t know either, but thought it might be a telephone appointment even though the letter said it was a face to face. So they sat me in a quiet place to wait for my call. Imagine my surprise when the nurse practitioner appeared saying I was seeing her. Phew. And it was a very successful outcome.
In the afternoon I had a Bookclub meeting. We had been reading Look What I Have Done by Sarah Schmidt. A take on the Lizzie Borden Story. Did she or didn’t she kill her parents? She wasn’t convicted of anything but her name is well known as a murderer. A bit of a marmite book, with some of the group loving it and others hating it. Scores ranged from 1 to 9 out of 10.
