Bonjour Paris - Day 2
Up on another sunny day - due to be warmer. Out to a nearby square for a very nice petit dejeuner in a cafe with lots of locals. Walked back via Saint Sulpice and the Jardin de Luxembourg again. Then it was on the Metro out to the Bois de Boulogne, and after a short wait, and sitting by a lake watching the wildlife it was into the Fondation Louis Vuitton building - a stunning Frank Gehry building - for the best art exhibition I've seen: a building full of classic David Hockney pieces - over 400 of them. It was a wonderful experience. We then caught the little shiny silver electric shuttle bus back to the Arc de Triomphe where we had a meal and drink. Next it was across town to Bercy to the Cinematique where we had to get some gifts for my son (daughter was yesterday), then a long walk along the river to Île Saint Louis. Back to the hotel for a rest. Out again to head for the boats, then to see the Eiffel Tower 'sparkle' as it got dark. Back on the Metro with accordion accompaniament, and got snacks and drinks. Watched the PSG vs Aston Villa football. Snapseed treatment on this one has produced a nice effect and changed the colour of the reflecting pool.
