Dahlia…..

This pretty dahlia is growing in a friend’s garden. I remember my mother growing dahlias when I was a child. Beautiful, very showy flowers. There are some stunning hybrids being developed these days.
Hannah and Alex left here to drive to Christchurch this morning. Kevin, their fluffy Ragdoll cat, is staying here until they return on Monday. He has visited and stayed for holidays many times over the years. A gentle, laidback cat, he gets on well with my pets.
