Still burning.

I had originally blipped a picture of smoke still rising from the north end of Bute, with the heath fire there still burning after 48 hours.   That is however now my extra photo as within a couple of hours we got a call to say the hillside next to us was on fire.

The fire brigade turned up quite quickly and they seemed to get it damped down without too much difficulty but there were some quite spectacular flare ups whilst we were watching it, including the one I have pictured.

We have now had heath fires somewhere nearby for most days in the last fortnight.   I am therefore  glad there is a forecast for rain this weekend , much as we have all loved the dry, sunny and - today- unseasonably warm weather.
