This is for Paola!

Here we are in Belgium, having travelled to where we are staying in Tervuren, mid way between Brussels and Leuven. The locals speak Flemish here, but also English, Italian, Greek and some of them will speak French - but only if they have to!
We lived near here from 2006-9, and are here to support youngest son, who went to the British School here, and is running the marathon on Sunday. 
It’s strange to be back. It still feels like home, but not, it’s familiar but not, and we can’t get over how much of the farmland now has houses on it instead of cows!
It’s all a bit bittersweet, as we lived here with George and Millie, and Tervuren park is where I used to walk them every day. We were all happy here.
I’ve blipped the Egyptian geese for Paola, as she had one in her garden yesterday! There are a few couples with babies here, but these were resting right on the pavement and weren’t at all bothered by cars or us going by!
