Comp

Back at the foodback today, the sun was out so it was very quiet for people coming and picking parcels up.  I ended up in the warehouse making up parcels for most of the time and carting them about which was probably just the right amout of exercise for my still slightly painful shoulder.

Hang On were having a fun easter comp at the climbing wall so I went to join P there after my shift.  I didnt climb as I thought that would be a bit much for my shoulder, but I had a fun time taking photos, getting used to the new camera and watching some people do tough climbs!  M who runs the gym was in high spirits and particularly proud of the hardest routes which were proving challenging but not impossible. P did really well, flashing a good number of the climbs and topping some tough ones.  Here is is on his second attempt of one of the climbs that he did infront of a bit of a crowd who all seemed a bit stumped with it!

The comp ended with a dyno comp, where a bit of the wall was cleared and a big hold was put in the middle.  The contestants had to jump from set holds on the wall and grab the big hold.  The hold got moved further and further away up the wall and contestants got knocked out if they couldn't grab it within 3 goes. The final ended up being a distance of around 2.7 meters away, and then some of the guys had a go at the world record at just over 2.9 metres and it was all pretty impressive stuff.  Good for practicing action shots with the new camera too!
