Blue Angels Airshow

We traveled to Beaufort Saturday to see the air show at the Marine Corp Air Base.   There were so many people it took us an extra two hours to get into the gate to park...we missed the first hour of the show!   

We decided it was worth it to see such great flying skills.  The fighter jet demos, the acrobat planes and the parachute jumpers.  This was the first time we had seen the Blue Angel F16 flight show.   It did not disappoint.    We were surprised to hear that two of the pilots were South Carolina people!!   

In the extras is a collage of a few of the others.   The big C140 Hercules in the top middle is called Fat Albert and is the plane the hauls all the Blue Angel items from airshow to airshow.    It also did a few flight trick things and it is a big plane.

It was a long 15 hour day trip which is why I never got around to looking at the photos until late today.   I might be getting to old for driving those kind of days!!
