Dave!
An early rise on Saturday, fresh and ready to face day two of the festival.
A cup of coffee and bacon roll to kick start the day, then off to buy a plug to charge our phones.
Had a quick beer before heading off for a shower, soaking my trainer in the process.
Spent a relaxed afternoon on the campsite enjoying a bottle of wine, fuel to last us yet another bus journey into town.
Spent half an hour looking for the Liquid Rooms, so we could have our bearings for later on in the day, not the easiest sign to spot. and then off again to find a pub.
Eventually settled on The White Heart, more suitable for our budget, a couple of bottles of wine and a table of rotating guests much hilarity and a couple all the way over from Australia to watch the cricket, a fine way to spend the evening, not caring about missing the support groups as the company was so good, we did have to say our fairwells sadly and go catch the ever brilliant Kid Canaveral, who announced earlier in the day that the venue had changed slightly, it was now to be in the Anexxe of the liquid rooms, I don't know how we found it but we did, caught the closing notes of Ballboy and danced & sang away for the next 40 odd minutes, and on leaving the venue shouting a greeting to Dave Canaveral through the open side door to the stage and him looking back in bewilderment and relief as the door slowly closed on our very brief conversation. How we are still able to get tickets for these guys gigs is a wonder.
Back out on to the city streets of Edinburgh and deciding to head back over to underbelly to catch another set from K The Gang, and then a bit of Stand Up from the comedians in the next room, the last of whom was pretty guff.
And then again back on the bus out to the campsite for more wine and Scott terrorising the campsite with his late night ramblings whilst I slept blissfully unaware of the madness.
