Lost and found

In an old toolbox I came across this knife which, at one time, was standard issue to the Girl Gudes. I have started too clean it up and considering its age the condition is quite good.It dates, I think from the 1930's, so I suspect it belonged to my Mother in Law. Strange these days to consider it was provided to those joining the Guides; the blade is quite sturdy, with a vicious looking Marlin Spike at the other end, so I suspect it had much to do with work on ropes and knots?
