First day of Mr KCNQ2Haiku’s holiday, we dealt with a stressy Ben and helped him to go off happily with carers (not easy but the mini golf and macdonalds he was expecting helped!) We walked Leo and chatted to a neighbour. Then took older teen for lunch, during which we had the call to say a specific residential placement has been approved for Ben by the high ups in charge..there’s a million other steps to take and crazy logic has it that I haven’t been allowed to visit until the approval was gained, so that will be step one. But maybe it’s the beginning of helping him take steps towards the future.. scary but ultimately necessary.. watch this space..
The rest of the day passed in a bit of a blur, we took older teen to his tutor and I bought a new jacket because we’re also planning for my grandad’s funeral on Wednesday, I spoke to my mum and did the usual tea/evening stuff. Photo is the usual last tree on Leo’s constitutional. Big day.
