CAT ENCLOSURE
The workmen arrived early this morning to build the fence between my front garden and my next door neighbour Jackie's. They also put up a fence between Jackies driveway and her neighbour on the other side. They seem to have done a good job and it was all finished by around 3pm. Tino and Lily were not keen on all the noise and activity ... and there was more to come when my brother Colin and his friend Priscilla arrived at around 4pm.... complete with 2 chain saws.
They set about cutting up the rest of the fallen lilac tree. All that's left for me to deal with are the smaller branches which neither of them wanted. Colin has taken some of the bigger pieces for his projects and Priscilla will use her share in her log burner. Priscilla also cut down a shrub which had grown tall and unruly. They didn't want any of the wood from that They were here for around an hour. I remembered to give Colin a box of crockery and cutlery I had sorted out for him
After they left I got my secateurs and saw out and chopped up some of the branches and filled up my garden bin. There's a lot more to do but I will do it in stages..
The weather was OK today. Dry and warm-ish with a bit of wind.
The Mono Monday theme is The Built Environment . As I didn't go out anywhere the best I could come up with was the cat enclosure. It was built by hand in April 2013 and its the environment my cats use when they want to go outdoors. Thanks to steveng for hosting
When I was chatting to Jackie this morning she mentioned the Newcastle match last night and said there were flags spelling out KEEGAN in the East Stand. Well I sit in the East Stand and I was waving a flag but of course I had no idea what the flags were portraying. So I Googled and found a photo. Ive added it as an Extra with an X marking where I was sitting. ( Head Coach Eddie Howe is still in hospital... he has pneumonia ).
