Marsh Hoverfly

This appears to be a Marsh hoverfly, which is a different type to the ones I've blipped before, which were all Common hoverflies (see 16th June, 26th July and 6th August).

It caught my eye today due to the different markings. The hover flies I have photographed up till now have all had a plain coloured thorax, but this one has three black vertical lines on its thorax. It's not the sharpest picture, but I wanted to blip it due to it being a different type of hoverfly from the usual ones I see.

I managed to identify it by going to the UK Safari website, which can be found at www.uksafari.com
