Feeding on nectar
This morning i saw another ophthalmologist about my eye. She explained very clearly about what has happened. She used the analogy of a garden hose which splits when blocked in explaining that some blood gets into the retina. Sometimes this can resolve by itself, and other times it can progress, getting worse. Mostly it needs to be dealt with by injecting a drug into the eyeball. Usually this needs a number of injections at intervals of about four weeks. After hearing her explanation of cause, risks and treatment (including risks), I suggested that I wait until we return from Australia.
In just under two weeks we are visiting Tsuken and his family in the Nlue Mountains west of Sydney. Then we, he and Mrs Tsuken go to Gold Coast for the College Congress. All up we will be away for nearly two weeks. So I will have an appointment with her and she will be able to advise what would be better.
My blip is a photo of a Tui, seen from the little balcony out from my study. I was sitting there eating my porridge for breakfast and enjoying the sounds of many tui in the trees beside the house. When I saw one obviously feeding on nectar and berries. I'd already tried and failed to photograph a Tui, but this one was close enough and not behind leafs.
Late afternoon I had a pleasant walk and took a photo of a rose beside a a gate in Rimutaka Place. I've added that as an extra for today
