Sgwarnog: In the Field

Pen

It’s been a few years since Mute Swans have successfully nested on the Dam. It is a busy place, with a lot of disturbance from people and dogs, so fingers crossed for this year. This pen is ringed (by Yorkshire Swan Rescue Hospital) Y261, I didn’t catch the cob’s number, but I’ve previously recorded her with 0Y98.

17yo and I had a quiet day, including a walk down to the dam and back through the woods.  There are lots of bluebells out already, and the ramsons are also beginning to flower.
