Oh, What A Night!

Well, the evening with Marie Antoinette at Versailles certainly did not disappoint!  It really is good to be king!  (At least until the Revolution ...)

It took Silversea five years to arrange this event -- Apparently Versailles wouldn't even return their calls for the first two years!  It was all worth it -- what a spectacular evening we had, complete with costumed dancers performing minuets in the Hall of Mirrors, chamber music, and the most exquisite food and wine.  The tables were breathtakingly beautiful, decorated with bouquets of Marie Antoinette's favourite flowers, and scattered with her favourite fruits.  The china was gorgeous, the silver gleamed, the crystal sparkled, the champagne corks popped ... heavens, how could anything surpass such a night!
