Gig Rowing

Maldon Prom parkrun this morning. I felt strong with my eye on one of the good runners. Delighted to be able to keep pace with her until a rookie error  - my shoelace came undone.  I could not risk a fall, so stopped to tie it. Got going again, but could not make up the time. Nevertheless I enjoyed the run and had fun chatting to friends whilst waiting for G today's Tailwalker. 

We went to Sophie's for breakfast before rushing off to do the Gig row. No time to change, so I wore my 250 shirt. We had a new member with us and it was good to head out round Northey in calm water before the slightly more choppy water. We returned to the jetty in good time and spotted a friendly seal who came to investigate the boat. A real delight.
