Sally Mair - Loving life

Welcome Guests

The early part of last night was somewhat disturbed, but both little girls slept till after 7. 30 this mouthing. The elder two came downstairs not long after and breakfast was fun. Poor Eilidh was very tired after her Amsterdam adventure, but it sounds like they all had a great time. She was one of the youngest there, but didn't let that hold her back.
Getting dressed and out by 8.30 was fairly straightforward, Bonnie rewarded me by saying Grandma, very clearly, and several times! I think both little girls have coped so well, I survived, - but I'm tired. I'm so grateful to Katy for coming with her girls and staying over, It really took the pressure off me to have some back up and they all had fun
Colin arrived safely in Boston last night and we had a chat late morning today, it's his birthday! They are off to a concert tonight before he heads South to NY tomorrow.
I had booked my massage at Clarins for 11 today as I thought I might need it. I think I nodded off as it seemed to pass very quickly. My only responsibility (well almost) for the next couple of days is to myself.
Just after lunch I saw Ali and Stuart's plane had arrived back, so that let me off pick up duty today. She came across and picked up her car and all their belongings, and we took time to catch up. It sounds like they had a great time. I hadn't told the girls she would be there at the end of the day (just in case) so they'll be excited to see them.
I had my usual afternoon session at the charity shop, and afterwards went in to church. I'm taking the service tomorrow so wanted to be sure everything was in place.
I decided to make life simple tonight and treat myself to a ready meal, so once everything was done, I popped down to M&S. While at Craigleith I went into the Home Store which is due to close very soon. Great bargains to be had as absolutely everything was half price. I had fun browsing. The one thing I did buy was a stove top kettle, I've thought for a while it would be a useful addition.
I enjoyed my roast lamb in redcurrant sauce then settled down to making phone calls and writing the pieces I need for tomorrow's service. Bed wasn't till far later than I had anticipated.
My blip is of very dinner welcome visitors in the garden, there are two of them in this shot.
I'm still playing catch up getting the weekend, I'll try and get my final missing blip written today, apologies for the lack of commenting, I've managed to read most entries, but time has run away with me .
