Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Timber!

I was able to wake slowly this morning, no children no cat and no reason to leap into action. So I didn't.
I had coffee in bed, did lots of puzzles and generally took my time. I headed off for church for 10am. I was leading the service this morning and wanted to make sure that everything was in place. It's been a long time since I've taken a full service as opposed to a home communion with just one or two others present. I asked one of those present to read a hymn as a form of meditation rather than give a homily. It seemed appropriate for Holy Week.
Everyone was very supportive and encouraging afterwards which was a great relief. It feels such a huge responsibility, by coincidence I'm leading another in a fortnight so I feel a little more confident about that.
This afternoon the Hazelh's came to pick up some charity shop purchases and stayed for tea and chat. Even though they'd only walked up the drive, they got very wet in this dreich weather. We had plenty to say, even though we met just a few weeks ago.
While they were here I noticed the subject of my blip. One of my Cordyline stems had come down, in this blip of 21st March you can see the one stem which we had cut down. Today though, even though I hadn't been aware of high winds, the next tallest stem has snapped and come down onto the lawn. Still that saves us a job. I'll just need to tidy up what is left now.
I've finally caught up with my back blips, please do look back if you are interested.
