Afternoon tea
In honour of T's 70th which was earlier in the month. Since our 60th birthdays we have treated each other to afternoon tea and latterly we have been to Greywalls Hotel in Gullane in East Lothian. However, we decided to try a new place today, which was Schloss Roxburghe just outside Kelso in the Borders, a Victorian Manor House which has recently been refurbished and extended by German owners Hyatt. The food was good, but I think we could have done with a bit more of it - we both finished and I could have managed more, without being excessively greedy! I think we might try somewhere else for my birthday which is coming up in August. The weather wasn't brilliant with rain at times so we just did a short walk in the grounds after tea.
Although I was driving so had to keep my eyes on the road - mostly - I did catch glimpses of my first lambs of the year.
