Pink Elephant Ears

We have one of these in our front garden. It was here when C moved in in 2005. It doesn't get any attention but it is going strong and flowers every year. We got a new one to put in the back garden where nothing is happening and something which can look after itself is needed. At the moment is in a pot. It will be planted out next year if it and we are still alive.

It may be that the new one was bred for the modern garden and only have the looks and nothing of the grit of the old guard and will die at the first sight of stress. We'll have to await and see.
