Whitewater

Another one of those 50/50 images. In a strange way, the balance of the two halves seems to create tension and imbalance. Perhaps that's down to the moving water on the right opposing the stillness on the left hand. I thought to begin with it would be simply black versus white, but as I raised the shadows, I saw the ripples emerge.

It was very windy today, blowing strong waves onto shore. Why it creates white froth, I don't know (chemicals or natural?).
