Topping out

Dubbo’s “skyscraper” under construction has reached its full height and has been topped with a tree. Apparently this is an ancient ritual.

The photo was taken from the grounds of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, where I attended a solemn service for Good Friday.

The church is of sandstone and wood and stained glass, and was built in 1876.
